en not happy about the motor. one of the cylinders is pitted, the threads on the end of the crank are messed up and one of the heads has a helicoil i didnt notice..... AHHHHH

it is a 4bolt though, random truck heads too.....

i was hoping to not have it bored, but it looks like its going to need it....

well after being woke up way to early to go change a blown water tank, i figure while im over at my brother in laws id grab my heads, manifolds, and other parts and begin the cleaning process now that im back home...

does 230$ sound normal for 60over bore work?

got another set of heads off craigslist for 20$.... same group of SN\'s in better shape, clean, good threads.  

looking at a set of 44\"s this week....  :-D

im not really sure what the term siping means, im more hacking a new tread pattern and bring new life to the existing tread. inbetween the original lugs im probably only removing about 3/16\" because that gives me almost 1/2\" of tread lug and shouldnt weaken the carcuss too much...  bringing fresh corners to the existing lugs is about 1/2\" removal at the thickest parts

siping is putting small grooves in large tread blocks to add more passages for water and more biting edges.  In soft compounds it can lead to chunking in the rocks but it aids in wet wether and winter driving tremendously.

With all the effort you\'re going through already I\'d see how they drive in the rain and sipe later if you need to.....
