I dont have any experience with retreads, but I would be kinda scared running them at 10psi over rocks. I would think maybe the treads would seperate.

+1

also, retreads when done properly are not significantly different than first treads.  the carcass is made separately in original manufacture and the tread is added to it....

like any product, its relibility has all to do with the process and control, but i think we have a growing number of wheelers on the site using these tires and i havent herd any bad stories yet.  go for it.

well growing I think is still only two, and that\'s a pretty small sample size....

I think I\'ll probably put them on the WJ.  I was hoping I\'d have that done, and I\'d take it out to WP for a test drive, but I had to order parts online from RockAuto and I expect them Friday at the soonest, don\'t know if I\'ll have it put together by then and I don\'t think I\'ll have tires on it.  They\'re baldie-balds now.

Make that the 3rd set.  The wife\'s DD is equipped as well.  I\'m still exceptionally satisfied with them.  I do air down on the trail to about 12-15 and haven\'t had any issues.  I even had a punctured tire run less than that for about 10 miles at 55mph (I didn\'t know about it until I got to my destination).  The sidewall got real soft but the tread was unfazed.

Jake, If you can\'t get the jeep running but still want to go and take the quads out on the trails, let me know. I\'m not sure I want to bring the truck out with the bald tires that are on it but I\'d love to go ride.
