I\'m still sad we didn\'t finish in 7 hours :)

thanks for the help on my garage prep.  it was a good project to break in the space with -  first major thing I\'ve done here at my new place.

The park staff of rausch creek was nice enough to close a section of the new land for the park down for a few hours yesterday to let my self and another buggy do some high speed laps.  it was awesome!

buggy is doing good.

have a few issues to work out for Virginia, and then the race!

new motor running ok, still running hot at sustained high speed with rpm over 5000

he hates the 5.38s Erik.

high range isn\'t low enough, and low range is too low.

It really needs about 6.5-7:1 gearing I think.  5.38 is as deep as the 14b goes though.  on the other hand high range is now pretty useful - Mike just wants more juice on tap than there is to offer in high.

His handling really makes me jealous.  after some seat time in that, I think my priorities have changed.  I want comfy seats! :)

ya, i dont like the 5.38\'s at all.  4.10\'s were way better for power and speed range in low for racing.

on the other hand the 5.38\'s will be easier on the trans for crawling low range, and force me to not use as much fuel go fasting in high range.

new starter motor (cracked it at rausch this weekend)

Power steering bracket re fabed and made more adjustable, blown belts replaced.

New fan set and shroud mocked up and fit for more airflow.
