if I get my steering all happy I might just have to drag my junk down but I\'m in one way or da udder.

there ought to be lots of Old Familiar Faces down there

Quote from: \"BeaterToyota\"
The 11th Annual East Coast 4Runner Jamboree is June 24-26, 2011 at Rausch Creek Offroad Park in Tremont, PA.

Here are the details:
Over the last 11 years the EC4RJ has evolved into a totally low key, informal event. Just show up, camp, go wheeling, break stuff, eat and drink, repeat for a day or two, go home.

There are trails for all vehicle/driver levels. No fees except what it costs to wheel at Rausch Creek. (Rausch Creek Off Road Park)

All Toyota 4x4s welcome. Really, all 4x4s are welcome.

Magazine coverage from past events:

http://www.off-roadweb.com/events/0702or_toyota_trail_rides/index.html

And keep an eye on the newsstands for the August 2011 issue of 4WD & Sport Utility Magazine.  It will have coverage of last year\'s EC4RJ.

You could put me down as a \"maybe\" for this. I know I\'m gonna be going August 5th for that weekend with some friends. So I don\'t Know if I\'ll be able to afford 2 trips along with other stuff I need to do to my Cherokee. Do you guys think my XJ with an open dif on 31s would be good enough for Rousch?

Josh,

There is plenty for everyone at Rausch.  There are bypasses for most of the difficult sections and spectating while others try and conquer the impossible is fun too.

xjh3 went last year with very similar specs and did really well... http://www.fingerlakes4x4.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=2144&start=0

Yep, 32\'s with no lockers. I was surprised how easy it was to keep up and go around the harder stuff, however I found myself doing that less and less as the weekend went on.

I\'m planning to make it to this one too.

i might be leaving thursday if i can get another buggy to run with friday.

Just to give a heads up to anybody new coming down-  Rausch is awesome.  expect primitive camping though on a hot dusty mountian parking lot- it will be hot, bring lots of water.  Solid ice blocks work good in the cooler for food.  There are a few shoping places within a few miles and the park is very close to 81.  There is a truck stop right down the road also with food (quiznos / subway), showers, fuel, and air.

The park has free air for you tires.

Ill have chain saw so no need to bring fire wood.

I have heard that the pizzahut/subway has been closed at the truck stop, being remodeled into a Burger King, so I would not rely on that for food.

Not going to be able to make it now. Forgot the girlfriend\'s birthday was that weekend and shed rather spend \"quality\" time together rather than being dusty and muddy with me and the XJ >.<  Hopefully there will be other weekend trips fairly soon that I cant get in on.

What better quality time than in the cab of your ride?  You could also avail yourself to one of the nearby hotels for a real bed and shower.  Or there are campgrounds nearby with amenities.

Gotta sell this stuff. :-)

And if that doesn\'t work, tell her she needs to get used to it because that is just something you do... :-P

I tried to pull that and got yelled at >.< Ah well, I\'m sure there will be more trips to come. I know I\'m heading down there for the weekend of August 5th.
