Anyone got anything to share on the camping arrangements?
Does the group try to stay together or will we be scattered?
Is there alot of space for setups?...ect..ect...ect.

It is basically a large parking lot with about 10-15 fire rings and a little grass for tents.  Those with tents usually opt for the grass and those who sleep in trailers or vehicles will be, of course, in the parking lot.  Some put their tent on their trailer just to keep it flat and out of the rain.  There shouldn\'t be any problem keeping together or at least nearby.  If you want any privacy (don\'t expect much), you\'ll want to move farther down the lot.

There is no power or water or any other amenities, other than what you bring with you.  \"Primitive camping\" is no exageration.  There are out-houses provided.  If you forget something, chances are someone else will have what you need.  If that fails, there is a small gas station/convenience store about 3 miles away and a Walmart about 10 miles away.

The biggest recommendation is to bring lots of water; for drinking and for washing.

Got specific questions?

Wasn\'t sure if there might be a crap load of people camping in the area, and a space (some what close to our group) would be hard to get unless you got there early.

Does that lot /camping area cover the needs of the entire event and ALL antendees who are camping for the weekend?

Was planning on bringing a 12x12 screened in canopy as well as a tent. Wanna make sure there will be room for it.

Sounds like there is firewood to be found also....

There is a \"day\" lot on the other side of the entrance where people just coming for the day park their trucks/trailers.  In other words, the camping side is mainly for campers.  If it is a busy weekend, we may not even get grass or fire ring and usually end up setting up across the lot.  We make due with the space available.

If you are thinking bugs, there really isn\'t any to speak of during the evening or night.  Skeeters love me and I was amazed at the lack of anything that bites.

There is plenty of dead-fall firewood available during the day.  If you have scrap lumber that you want to bring and burn, that\'s OK as long as it is nail-free.

BTW- the \"parking lot\" is just a semi-flat dirt and rock field.  No pavement to be had.  I\'m sure there are pics in the gallery that can give you an idea.

A wheel spacer? Not sure where you\'d find those local but some of the ebay buy-it-nows really do ship \"tomorrow\" and you\'d probably have them in time....

Looks like I\'ve got a trailer spot open on the big goose.  AC isn\'t fixed in the dump bus yet but half fuel is better for both of us :)
