agreed.

I\'d have loved to see the process and results of this tire!

no fix on the tire yet, gona maybe try next week.

i answered your other thread about how i painted my CJ.  Scrambler is getting blue rustoluem- tried it out on the tailgate with promising results thining with acetone and an HF spray gun.  As soon as the rot is cut out from the body, it will be sprayed and i ordered some new decals too.

its tough call, the CJ is much more road friendly and a little better on gas.  The scrambler is still a trail beater that needs some better crawling gears and alot of work.  i love the wheelbase and 42\"s on the trail though.  Sadly the CJ has sat and is getting neglected.  It will probably be put away for winter soon.

o did i mention after the last RC trip my driver frame frame rail is broke in half, both doors not only do not close right or unlock from the outside, power steering is gone too, and im sure many other things.

Managed to get it trailered back home off pauls trailer, and now it has been sitting since, covered and waiting for attention.

there is always next year- maybe some coils :)

With the work you\'ve shown us so far, I have no doubt that you\'ll adapt, overcome, or fab up whatever you need!

You always have the CJ5 to wheel in the meantime...

as much as i love the scrambler - im really tempted to chevy 1ton / 42\" ize my current DD- a 97\' s10 short box PU.   :)

i still am looking for doner scrambler / J trucks - and might spend my 10 days of Christmas vacation in the metal shop with a load of steel for a tubed / coiled CJ8.  up for thoughts- i have some time to plan.

decided im going to try and get the scrambler wheelable for the Nov15 Rausch trip.

Fixed the power steering line that broke so thats good.  Need to replace the low pressure side, the weldernator belt looks like its hitting it and wearing through.

Took a look at the frame, have some ideas for a fix before a new frame gets built.

also on the list is longer welding cables, with 42\" tires, 7\' cables barely reach the ground from the hood :)

yes- i was able to have a title expidited to the original owner before my seller, got him to sign it over and provide a bill of sale, and got plates on it last thursday.  Only cost me 40$ extra, it could have been ALOT more of a hassel.  glad that is over.

im hoping all it needs is glow plugs, and it will be a good tow rig.
