You want to be carefull when you buy straps.

Straps identified as Tow straps usually have hooks which is a no no.
Straps identified as Recovery straps usually do not have hooks, only loops on both ends.

I mention this because straps with hooks can be dangerous if it comes unhooked durring a pull.

If yours has hooks and is still new and packaged I would recomend exchanging it for a strap that does not have hooks. Tractor Supply carries 20ft 20K rated recovery straps.

Ryan is going to replace my power steering pump after he fixes Jakes tranny. So I should be all set for Sunday.
 I will follow the caravan from Dunkin Donuts in Macedon. I have a CB now and I believe everyone will be on channel 4.

so i\'ve got some work to do on my cj tomorrow...
overheated it tonight... hopefully didn\'t damage anything
going to wake up tomorrow and get a better look at it, there is probably no coolant left in it... pulled over and had my dad come pull me home (tow strap behind the ranger)

i\'m hoping for the best, not sure but looked like the coolant was coming from the block end of the lower hose...  it was dark, couldn\'t see well enough...

i\'m going to try to solve the problem, still planning on coming sunday but we\'ll see
