XJ\'s are awesome.

im runnin 31s with 3\" of lift on my XJ. im planning eventually to be on 35-37s. but to clear 35s you need 6+ inches of lift. ive had wranglers and they were nice, but theres something about an XJ that will make me probably never go back to a TJ.

XJ\'s are awsome and relatively inexpensive to modify, I was told the best year was a 99 because its the newest with the fewest problems. Really probably a 97-99 would be best with chry 8.25 in the rear. go for around 4.5\" and some trimming to fit the 35\'s.

Really there are not alot of differences through the years, as long as your not looking at any of the 80\'s XJ\'s with the GM V6 what a slug.

i agree with fedrusion 97-99 for the chr 8.25, 4.0h/o, dual diaphram brakes.only downside they are more prone to develop engine knocks and rear  bearing seal leaks.

How about an MJ?
There was one in the Rochester craigslist with a 6cyl 5-spd for about $600

I think the renegade was a option package for the YJ. There\'s an MJ in canandiagua that I\'ve got my eye on. Trying to figure out if I can scrape together enough money for it.
