I need a quick favor from a TJ owner. The needle on my tachometer came off when I was putting some gauge backing stickers on. Now I don\'t know if it\'s right or not. Could someone with a TJ tell me where the needle rests at low idle and at 60 MPH. I have an NV3550, 3.73 rear end and 31\" tires. If thats not the same as yours, let me know to the best of your ability those three things along with what gear you were in when you checked and I\'ll do the roll-out math.

I get 1892rpm at 60 using a calculator online. I believe the 5th on the NV3550 is a .78 ratio seniors correct me if I\'m wrong.  My 05 idles at about 800rpm.  Some timing lights also have a tach you could check idle with one of those.

Thanks man! Does anyone else have a TJ with a tachometer who could tell me the idle. I\'d just like to compare and see if the older newer TJs have different idle speeds.

My 97 TJ also idles at 800 RPM.
