Howdy!
« on: March 24, 2008, 02:56:05 PM »
I was cruising by MacGregors and I saw a sweet CJ8 in front of the place so I stopped to check it out and I met Mike and two other nice fellas and they directed me to this forum here.

I\'m originally from South-Western PA, around the Ligonier/Johnstown area and now I\'m a Mechanical Engineering Technology Student at RIT.

Other forums I\'m on usually are Pittsburgh Offroad (PGH-offroad.com), Heritage Region Jeep Association (HRJA.org), 4wd.com (forums.4wd.com/forums), and Black List Wheelers Association (BLWA.org).

I like jeeps...

Up here at school I drive a 94 2wd XJ that I picked up for $100 since it didnt have a floor.  4.0L motor with a 140k on the clock and getting 22mpg.  Added a throttle body spacer and boring the throttle body soon.

My willys pickups...none of them move on there own but they\'re all there (except the half truck), waiting for love...and money...

My 63 CJ5 I spray painted to look like an M38A1...I prety much just cruise around in it...

My 89 XJ is my first jeep...4.0L, aw4, aussie locked d30, lockright locked XJ d44, 3.5\" frankenlift, ton of homemade stuff like the hood and bumper and tire carrier and so on...

And finally my 95 XJ.  The buck naked low budget big bang beater...BB lift, gas tank relocated, 4.0L, AX15, d30, LSd35, aussie locker and cage coming soon...

I also ride an arctic cat 500 atv with a winch, snorkel, and 589 tires and I enjoy target shooting.

So ya...thats me...

Thanks.  I plan to get the 89 XJ up here once I get it to pass PA inspection.  Next year probably.  For now thought I\'d be happy to ride along with someone the next time everyone goes out and run winch line or take pictures.

wow, you weren\'t kidding, that\'s quite the fleet!

Hope to see you around.  If you\'re close enough to Rausch maybe you can hitch a ride down and pick up a wheeler from home when we go down there...

Damn you almost have me beat in jeeps. Nice work on the 89 pretty rare for somone to swap over to that grill style F-150 spring lift or V-8 ZJ?

Did I see a J-Truck in the pick with the bronco?

nope, no j-truck.

I don\'t know why but I always fancied the 88 waggy XJ 4-headlight grill so when I saw one in the junkyard I did the conversion.  really easy.

front springs in the 89 are 3\" rusty\'s offroad HD coils (they were on sale) and the back is a 3/4 ton chevy truck rear leaf pack with the main leaf being the original XJ main leaf.  that gave me a solid 3.5\" in the back.
