2nd Annual Quest for a Better Christmas Poker Run

We arrived just before 11am and finished the course before 3p. The first half was pretty tame and doable in about anything but the second part stepped up the clearance and traction requirements a little bit. It started to rain about an hour in and made it all the more slippery. Most roads were just maintained dirt and many of the seasonal roads had some icy based snow pack on them. Lots of previously frozen "potholes" made it a bumpy ride. Sadly, the fog and low clouds kept sight-seeing to a minimum.

Since we had a bit of time before the raffle, I headed to the power wash to get a layer of dirt off the back window and then we hit Dominoes for dinner. MikeMike drew a good hand for the poker portion so we had to stay. Nearly everyone in our group won something in the raffle too.

The ride north was a bit dicey with copious heavy wet snow falling but thankfully all made it home safe.

All in all, it was a fun course. The crew at Quest Offroad 4x4 were great and you could really hear their heart for the families that would receive the donations. And, of course, the FLX crew is always great to hang with!
