The drive down Friday evening was rainy but we had a good tailwind. The truck/trailer parking area was pretty packed with RVs, and campers so we parked across the way. It was a non-issue because of the limited number of tenters on this chilly and wet weekend. The wind and rain rocked the trailer all night and we woke to a dreary Saturday morning of more wind and light sideways rain.

Those riding in the Women's Guided run prepped and departed and the rest of us waited for more of our group to arrive, complete an axle sale, then we combined with another small group. We headed to the comp course and then down toward the old office, Stair Step, Jotter's Way, and Trail 6. Continuing into the trail system, we hit Trail 5, CV Trail, and Yellow Jacket. Eventually, it stopped raining but remained overcast and windy until nightfall. The clouds cleared, the stars came out, and the temps were chilly. Everyone piled into my trailer and the heat was cranked relieving the shivers. Not a roaring fire but a sufficient substitute. Eventually, we all headed for some rest as the wind continued to buffet our trailers.

Sunday morning brought brilliant sun but that wind continued. Hannah/Harry, Mollie/Reid, Dennis/I headed out to the South property and ran Cemetery, some of Snake Bite, and the Quarry. After Shoot the Moon exit broke a Cherokee driveshaft, it was replaced and we headed out to Roxy's Way and Lake Christy, then back to camp. By 3:00pm departure, it was 60* and quite nice. Farewells shared and an uneventful haul home for everyone.
