Rausch trip 3/14-3/16
« on: March 18, 2014, 08:36:28 AM »
Couple RIT guys were heading to RC so Matt and I went down.

This weekend was a good trip.

Tow down was rather uneventful. noticed a hot tire, ran it.  just about shredded when i got to the park.  changed it out Sunday, ran cool home.

Found the international to have a cracked windshield under the snow before leaving M4.  hot/cold must have pissed off the chip i have been ignoring.

Saturday morning i was awoke by RIT guys looking for TJ help.  Fixed and air locker line and resealed up a rubicon 44 rear.  Ran good trails Saturday.  did some eazy stuff and then two link limped out the same TJ mid day after lower control arm bracket failure.  Afternoon ran Matt through Otters and deathtrap.

Matt lost brakes on the comp course and almost cartwheeled off the back of double bump.  Anthony broke and ATX wheel which got changed out.

great dinner at red lion.

Sunday we were down to 3 functional rigs starting from 2 groups of 5.  fixed a leaky trans cooler line and bled brakes on Matts car.  Ran  some good trails on north property.  started on F* and then ran some Blues.  Gate keeper of Affliction blew a shock shaft off passenger trailing arm.  boooo.  rode dirty back on the airbump and called the trip about 1pm.

loaded up and uneventful ride home.  Felt like i was ready to drive another 30 hours for some reason.  was a relaxing drive.

red lion has good food in town.
