Adjusting speedometer for new tire size
« on: March 10, 2013, 08:05:21 PM »
Yesterday I got a set of 35" M/T mtz's.  Does anyone have a programmer to adjust my speedometer for the tire size change?  I gots  a 05 TJ so from what I understand a supperchips  programmer can do it without needing to mess with and gears.  I live in Fairport and work in Albion so I should be able to meet up wit someone somewhere to do it.

In all cases I'm aware of, tuners will only adjust tire size on one vehicle at a time, just like they'll only tune one vehicle at a time. After making adjustments, they lock themselves to that particular computer, and won't unlock until that computer is returned to stock.

My aev procal doesn't even do performance tuning just tire size etc.   And it also locks to the vin.  Might be worth looking into they are much cheaper than tuners and I think the tj one came out recently.  You can always do some math in your head when driving ::)
