Put new bearings and a pinion crush sleeve but cant get it tight, almost broke my pry bar, and there were no shim when i took it apart. What am i doing wrong. any help would be great Thanks

trq down to 250, was still loose called smike he said use breaker bar and a pipe gave it all i had still loose.

crush sleeves can sometimes take a LOT, but I'd figure your 'all' is probably the 500+ they sometimes need. hmm.

Meh, I just reused my old crush sleeve. Torqued it to "good and tight". It's been fine? But not a lot of miles yet.
Nick's didn't even have a crush sleeve!

Has the sleeve crushed down at all?

nope, seems i haven't even pressed the rear bearing on the shaft yet. need to check the new bearing diameter and then get a longer cheater bar.
