I have a dilema...I don't do any "hard core" wheeling, but do like to push it when I do go a few times a year. This swap would be easy, same gears. My current axle is open and I would like the locker. I know that an explorer 8.8 or d44 is the best, but for my application, is is necessary?
The cost for the complete set up was $750, and before I commit, I had to ask, too much $ or waste of $ or both. I'm unsure of the cost of an 8.8, and all that involves that swap. If its not crazy, then I should explore that.
Again, this axle is nothing I NEED, just a want, kind of. As always, your help is appreciated.
