NP205 - 32 spline, female, input shaft (short)
« on: December 03, 2012, 10:35:59 PM »
Looking for a short 32 spline female input gear/shaft for a NP205. Need it to mate up my billet box to my 205... thought I had one but turns out I had the longer one. The short one sticks out about an inch and a half or so from the seal retainer cap. The longer one that I have sticks out about 4-5 inches. I believe ford/dodge NP205 have interchangable guts with the chevy ones but not 100% on that. These usually came mated up to a TH400 but there was a couple different adapter plates for different applications so havent narrowed down the models it would be in yet but just looking for some help.

Thanks!

I can't cut the np205 gear (female) because the the splines don't go as deep as they do on the short gear. I can't cut the male shaft that came with the billet box becasue that would put the end of the female portion int contact with the shift barrlel inside the billet box not allowing it to fully engage into the lower range..... :'(

Gotcha. Dang.
Whose billet box are you using? Did you go with the DD box like Harry? That thing is so nice.

Yea. I got the DD box. Used a 32 spline 241 I had here. Bought it when i had the cash and now im just sitting on it until I find time and cash to continue working on it... not to mention having to finish a few other small projects in the process..
