Everyone bailed on Big dogs this year so a couple buggies decided to change course for a long RC weekend. We kept it low key to a small group of built rigs and covered some serous ground.
Chris (former member) and I headed down Wednesday night to the park. Jeff (fellow wheeler) joined us Thursday night, and MikeMike with the Dakota showed up Friday night. 4 rigs on 40's that planed to move.
Chris blew a front shaft in his buggy before lunch the first day. The on-board welder on my buggy was put to use.
Friday, the 3 buggies explored on the North side finding some new trails and a really cool coal tunnel with and ere cold wind!
Saturday Mike swamped the Dakota in sunken treasure. I broke a front 60 joint descending with power on after a 6' air climb. I later snapped the rear sway bar on a CV climb. Jeff broke a rear 60 shaft also on CV notch.
Sunday we loaded and hit the road. I talked to Matt and headed to Scranton to run some local trails around old forge with the dakota also in route. some power line trails and seasonal ish road stuff, with a pretty neat cliff with good scenery. Mike and I displayed some of our break down skills to a stranded V8 TJ with no tools
uneventful tow home.
