Rausch in August
« on: June 19, 2012, 03:01:04 PM »
So I know it's a long way off, but I want to plan a trip down to Rausch for a weekend in August. The girlfriend needs to put in a request early for the weekend off so I wanted to get an idea on if anyone had any specific dates they'd like to go.

What exactly is that? Does it cost anything over the regular price of going to Rausch (I dont really want to pay the $130 membership for one weekend of wheeling)?

If I recall, there are different levels of hospitality.  It may be a little pricey but I only hear good things about it.  Arie (rejeep) can speak to the details.  Nothing on the website yet.

I'm sure there will be another weekend nearby that won't be as "organized".

Aug 18 we will be racing the 3rd rcrocs series race at RC.

will be looking for pit support saturday morning, and recovery support saturday PM.  The races are set up so that you can wheel the "old property" saturday or spectate for a bit on the "new" property that gets shut down for the race.  I will be heading down Friday AM to prerun for the Race Saturday, and Head home Sunday.

Coolride is an all inclusive weekend...
3 days of wheeling, meals, and good times...

The event costs money, but no membership or dues required..

Website is normally up at this time, just having some IT issues at the moment.

The JonFund thing sounds neat, but I don't have the funds to spend the extra $150 for my girlfriend and I to have lunch/dinner and a t shirt that wont even fit me. I could do the 17th through the 19th but I don't really want to spend, what will probobly be my only trip down to Rausch this year, in the pits (no offense). When you say "The races are set up so that you can wheel the "old property" saturday or spectate for a bit on the "new" property that gets shut down for the race", does that mean there would be no wheeling on any property on Sunday?

There is no need to stay in the pits. Mike only comes if if he is do racing. I just stop for fuel once. No need for people to sit around and wait for nothing.

Worst case we text you if we need to be pulled out. :-)
