JK STEERING STABLIZER
« on: June 07, 2012, 10:00:22 AM »
Hello All.....
Guess who has another broken steering stablizer....me !  >:(

Anyone got one floating around?....a little tight on cash so I don't want to go new.

Any help would be awesome as I am starting to get a wobble in turns....

Thanks, Michael H

Just out of curiosity....can't remember if you have a short arm system or not. Would that be a symptom? I ran without a stabilizer for a year with no ill effects. Something else awry?

Thanks Mike....
Yeap checked with the dealer and they told me 39 bucks !...BUT...as I was leaving to get it they called back and said they made a mistake and that price was for the brackets! and the price was 79 bucks...sounds like "BS" to me...think they gave me cost and not the stealership retail price.

what I really should do is "pony up" and get the re-location brackets to raise the new one up....but as I said bucks are tight these days....

Mike,

be carefull going up with the stabliser, for some reason my stock trac bar is rubbing my dual stablizers and they are up high.  Just something to think about bfore going high.  I am already thinking about changing to profender, but probably not for another couple months

Lynne....
Yes Pro Fender is the way to go...awesome product with re-location brkts included....out of my range for now or I would have been there.

Mike...
As suggested I checked the track bar and everything I could up front...all is secure.....

I'm new here so I don't know if there are rules for posting and selling things without being around for a while, but I did just upgrade my stock stabilizer on my 2012 JK yesterday and I have the stock one just sitting here. If I can help and its not against any forum rules let me know.
