« on: May 17, 2012, 01:12:13 AM »
have this wierd woom woom woom noise between 45-55mph in cruising speed use to be on acceleration but since i disconnected my frount DS only in steady cruising speed its there . wheels rebalanced 2x and alignment done

i put in a SYE and new custom rear driveshaft nope that didnt work

frount upper adj. control arms nope that didnt work

so im thinking transmission mount is shot or adj.front and adj.rear track bar mite help ..

also someone told me to change out the cat-back system with and aftermarket banks system cause it mite be that harmonic noise at cruising speed or try too but a hockey puck under between  transfer-case and skid cause the TC could be tilted to far left . ok anyone with ideas please anything will help or helpers to help would be awesome

Throw a different set of tires on it.  Might be a bad belt.

don’t over tighten.... if it leaks the seal is bad..
Torque does nott fix leaking seals....

what type of jeep is it?
when did the noise start?
is it a metallic sound or not?
increase or decrease with speed?
right or left turn effect it?
Does it happen under power or while coasting
Does it happen when the Tcase is shifted into range?

Start thinking like that and work through everything you have done to your jeep before and after it started…

Have somebody ride shotgun with head out the window and listen to see if anything is rubbing…

It’s very hard to play the what’s the sound game online..

Your woom woom noise might be the same as my wha wha noise
