HP30 w/ 3.73s
« on: March 26, 2012, 10:50:41 PM »
high pinion dana 30 from XJ. 3.73 gears. no shafts, brakes, or unit bearings. knuckles included.

Previous owner (dustin bylina) said owner before him (kyle from rausch) said seals should be replaced. unknown miles but gears have good wear pattern. From PA and not rusty. UCA bushing need to be replaced on driver's side. has been wheeled.

the plan is to gear a HP30 to 4.10 and i dont want to kill this one if someone wants it. so...

$125
or
$75 + HP30 housing

it was pretty complete when i bought it. unit bearings are ehh. brake are ehh. i wouldnt reuse them.
shafts are my spares for when i finally blow by CVs in my ZJ. they are still kicking with the 33" TSLs. smike will verify, i gave them hell at rausch in january. we'll see if they last this weekend too!

i'll throw in the unit bearings and calipers if someone wants those. i could have a set of ujoint shafts in rochester by mid may if someone wants them to go with it for a few extra $$. i anticipated someone throwing it in a TJ or doing it with a 3.73 geared 8.8, or something like that.

build is changing directions... this needs to go.

i have already bought a really nice set of 4.10 gears for it and a master install kit (needs seals).

so hp30 + 4.10 gears + install kit ...$250

also have a ford 8.8 with 4.10 gears. open. $175.

this could make a sweet swap for a TJ...

Disk or drum 8.8?

disk. its a nice piece. was pulled from a yard in PA. has some rust on the housing, but nothing like a NY axle would be.
