tj annoying noise

TJ annoying noise if anyone can help me figure out what this part is on my wrangler engine inline 6c 4.0L help would be appreciated my repair book i got i cant seem to find the part in it , yes even if i went page by page looking for it lol. wow for some reason i cant upload this image 156kb. its the part just above the oil cap to the right looks like a vacuum chamber with a sensor on it and the top cap has 2 hex screws holding it on.

looks like the crank position sensor on the distributorless 4.0 but I\'m having a hard time orienting the picture. Sure looks like the coil packs just above it.

yeah the spark plug coil pack just above.

there should be a wire harness off the back of it, and if you pull those two tiny screws you should see a hall effect sensor on the plastic cap and a rotor should stay on the engine side.

it really shouldn\'t make noise. it\'s the same setup as a distributor drive, worm drive off the camshaft.

What year is your Jeep?  They changed the cam position sensor in 05.  From what I read seems like the 05 really had some porblems with this part.
