Need help with my 97xj
« on: October 14, 2011, 09:48:53 PM »
Trying to put JKS extended shackles on my XJ so that i can delete my 1\" lift blocks. On the passenger side, the bolt that goes into the frame channel is spinning freely. I cut a hole in the floor going down into the channel to see if I can hold the nut from there. Now I cant tell whether I\'m getting a socket on the nut and its just spinning from being rounded/rusted, or if the socket is just not seating. Does any one know what size socket I need or if I\'m doing this entirely the wrong way. I\'d really like to avoid dropping the gas tank if I can. Any help and/or suggestions appreciated.
