Hub Centric Wheels

Just got a new set of Pro Comp series 7089. We did a wheel fit before mounting rubber and noticed the the hole in the wheel was larger than the hub.Hence the wheel did not \"fit\" around the hub...just about 1/4 \" gap around.
Found out this is a Hub centric wheel- \"The center bore hole of a wheel matches the hub diameter of the vehicle. This centers the wheel via the center hole rather than the lug nuts\".
I know the lugs nuts are key to a secure fit ...
Any concerns here I may be unaware of?

Most aftermarket wheels are lug-centric.  Been running them for years.  Just make sure your lug nuts are tight.

not a concern with tapered seat lug nuts.

on a newer Ford (metric pattern) or a dually, it really matters since they really are hub-centric, and the lugs are not conical seat.
