Can someone out there tell me how to tell what size axle is in my jeep, its a 06 wrangler unlimited , is it a 30 or 35 or 44, Thanks

Front Dana 30 and rear Dana 44(?).  There should be a tag (or two) on each listing a part number and what fluid is recommended.  The tag is attached to the diff cover bolts.  There may also be a number cast into the diff housing near the axle tube.

Thanks wingman I am going to get under the jeep today and look, The resson I need to know is I want to get gear sets for the front and back that will match the 33s to try to keep within the power range and still get some kind of gas mileage

You probably have 3.73s in it now.  Up-ing tire size to 33s won\'t be a big jump and the cost vs. benefit might not be worth it.  Put your 33s on and drive for a bit before spending your money.  You may not be able to tell much difference.

I drove a TJ with no lift and 33s for a while.  Worked just fine until I got much off-pavement.  Then they\'d rub...

I think the Unlimiteds mostly had 44 rears, not the 35. You may have a build tag in your driver door jamb, in the glove box, or bottom of the hood that my tell you which axle model as well.
