I\'ve never been down to rc. I was planning on going to whispering pines on the 22nd. Because its close and stock friendly. Are the trails open for wheeling when they are doing the rock crawling comp? Is everyone going to wheel or are you guys just going to watch? My wife is off this weekend so we can go to rc versus wp. Naturally i dont want to go the extra distance if i can\'t do anything because my tj is too small or no second vehicle for trail rides. I\'ve replaced my 31\'s with some new 31\'s more aggressive, and i have a 2\" budget boost that i will be installing on sunday or monday so I\'ll be a little better than stock. Help on my decision as to where to go would be greatly appreciated.

in the past when erik and cora have competed, it has been pretty transparent to normal wheeling in the park.  usually we would wheel the moring, come back for an early lunch, catch one or two of the comps, walk around and check out the rigs, then hit the trails in the afternoon again.  RC has gotten alot better in getting things to move along, usually the comp is done by 2ish i think anyway.

So if I\'m reading this right I\'ld prob have a better time going down to rc. I guess I should talk to wife and get her opinion, I would have to figure out a way to carry more gear. The tj doesn\'t offer very much room for camping supplies. Roof rack or something.

RC has something for everyone.  Pack light, store stuff at your camp site.  Never heard of anyone messing with other\'s stuff.  Bring everything you might need, though (TP, fresh water, etc).  It is primitive except for well-used porta-jons.

There is a campground within 3 miles that has the normal camping amenities.  Echo Valley is right off exit 104.  Info is linked to the RC website.

The wife says a 2 day trip after her working 7 days in a row is not an option. Next year we will def. make some of the rc trips. If everything goes the way i am planning. Have fun guys.

We are bailing out on the Comp. Too much work to do between now and then. Didnt plan to rebuild rear suspension 2 weeks before a competition, with a wedding the weekend before. Aside from rebuilding the automatic transmission, installing the  new Advance Adapters twin stix for the DANA 300 & clocking ring with .75\" longer input.

Hopefully Lynn will credit me my $$$ back!

Good luck guys!
