I made a last minute decision to run down to rausch for the day yesterday to take advantage of a pre run day put on by the park for racers.
I rolled in pretty late friday night without issues after mounting a few tires and filling up my tanks. Met up with a few other racers and despite the heavy rains in the night, burned about 20 gallons of propane running hot laps on the course across the street at the new land.
I have been battling cooling issues with the buggy and had a chance to make a few adjustments and race with a few others. They required full race gear, suits and helmets / window nets.
it was a ton of fun, ended the day with a torn sidewall in the front passenger tire.
wheeled a bit on my own the rest of the day, bs\'d with some new/old friends and took off for a late ride home. ended up calling it and sleeping in the trailer half way home since i was alone.
