new area at WP?
« on: June 04, 2010, 07:08:58 PM »
So i am taking my old man and my boys to whispering pines on fathers day, along with a few other BC4W\'ers, and was wondering where abouts you guys added the new trails to the place. Unless you want to hog em all for yourselfs, LOL.

Hill climbs and creek crossings that require lockers or winches. The availability of the land is up to Whisperingpines.  I made maps for them and they seem to be open to opening up the land to the public. The new land is not for a stocker, and there are fields that You HAVE to STAY OUT of.

thanx Cora, and I, as well as the guys going with me are locked in at least one axle (mine is both ends), and at least 2 of the ones i know are going have winches (myself included) I will ask the good folks at WP about the area. I know I will apprecaiate the new areas, as will the other guys from my club. there aren\'t any stockers that actually \"wheel\" from our club. I am actually the smallest tired, at 33\'s, but like i said i am totally locked.

Thank you guys for the work you have put in, and if we do get to use it i will be even more greatfull i am sure, I\'ll let ya know how it goes!

It\'s true.  I think I may have been the first one to get winched up with my Rubicon on 33s.  There was no backing out without body damage.

SWEET! well we can\'t wait to get out there then, hopefully they let us out there! i may be going after that \"new\" engine in Deleware soon after fathers day then, LOL!

It looks like there will only be about 8-10 of us, so it should be a great time either way

Yea dude!

when we first ran it it was dry and it was no big deal. (wingman was first to winch, but it was a gummed up tire issue)

when we returned it had rained all week, and the trail is much different.

Gcracker took video on his Droid, and posted it i thought, but i cant seem to find it!

Either way, have a good time.

The trail is completely doable in most short wheelbase vehicles, when it is dry!

Add some rain and hold on!

Pics as promised, just a few cell pics, will get ya more at some point. Also wanted to thank you for the hard work involved in reopening more area at WP. We definately approve of what you did and can see it will be PITA when wet, unfortunately one of our guys had some scarey issues (lost one of his front links on the way back to the club house and \"bunny hopped\" a ditch, after front ax folded under Heep) so we didn\'t get to spend a lot of time in the new spot, but we will. thanx again!
