FNG from PA

Howdy guys/gals.  After meeting Erik, Cora and Mike (sorry if I miss spelled names) at Beaver Run\'s \"Snow Days\", I thought I\'d come check out your site and see what all the muddy nuts was about.   Hmm, turns out it\'s just a bunch of 4x4s.  Not what I was expecting.  HAHA!!  Just playin\'.

I guess this is where I\'m supposed to tell you about my rig and myself.  Hmmm...  I\'m a 34yo married father of 4 sons.  We live in the wonderful down town of Warren, PA (yay!)  Umm.. I forget what else I\'m supposed to fill in here. LOL

We have a 03 Jeep TJ.  It\'s not overly modified yet, currently it has a 2\" 4wdHardware spring lift, 30x9.5 BFG ATs, PSC rocker guards, Warn RC front and rear bumpers (soon to be adding a tire carrier), and a C.E. 8000# winch.

In a few weeks we\'re going to go pick up a Rock Krawler 3.5\" L.A. Kit, then the fun should being.  Though 3.5\" LA kit + 30\" ATs should be a good giggle until we can find some more suitable tires.

Here\'s a few pics for the pic whores:
The day I brought her home...

2\" lift, 33 MTs, misc mods:

Future plans:
I want to go back to 33s ASAP, but with the long arm lift, I need to save up for some good shocks, and a SYE/CV drive shaft will be a must as well.
I can\'t see spending a lot of time/money on the D30/35 combo so before all of that gets done, I want to throw an aussie locker in the rear so I can go a few more places.

Anyhow, for now, that\'s my plans and a little about me...
Now time to go troll the rest of the site an get to know a few more of you guys/gals.

*edit to add*
Must be that I can\'t link pics for now?

Yep, it\'s Jason.  Thanks everyone for the welcomes.

We just did our taxes and Blobama is givin us back a lil more than we had originally figured. Rapid refund says I should have some serious bank by Feb12th.

I\'m trying to talk the wifey-poo into a good set of shocks to go with the RK 3.5\" LA kit I\'m getting. Any recommendations?  A few people have suggested Pro Comp MX-6 shocks, but I think I want something with a lot of down travel up front at least.  The MX-6 I was looking at don\'t seem like they\'d be much better than stock.  If I have to save up, I\'d rather do that and get what I want on the first purchase, rather than buy something, change my mind and replace it a few months later...

my suggestion is to put on the lift, flex it out with no shocks, measure for what you actually need, and go from there.

I\'ve run the Rancho 9000X shocks for a long time and I like the adjustability.  It makes me not have to care about what application the shock I\'m getting was intended for, I can tune it myself.  Never too stiff or too soft.  They\'re not the only adjustable game in town, but for a non-rebuildable shock that I can\'t change any other way, the adjustable dampening is more than worth it to me.

I\'ve been running the Bilstien 5150 cross over\'s. they are a piggy back res. and have given my street legal CJ very good road manners. Im also runing them in the rear of my CJ buggy. they seem to work very well with anything I have thrown at them. im also using the daystar poly bumpstops that slip over the shock eye.

I agree w mindless, install lift then measure.

Yeah, idk what I was thinking, I am going to have to find a garage with lift to be able to install my lift kit.  I never gave much thought to it, but my 4 jack stands and crappy walmart jack aren\'t gonna be enough. LOL
