Pro Comp Extreme All Terrain Tire
« on: January 28, 2010, 08:22:32 PM »
Winter 2007
Trying to find an E rated tire for the new Ford Superduty 18\" wheels was a bit of a dilemma.
I bought my 2006 F350 new in 05. The sales person says \"this model comes with the upgraded 18\" wheels\".
Being the sucker that I am...
I was excited. Little did I know, at the time no one offered an E rated tire in 18\" rim diameter.

2 years later...

Pro comp comes out with the Extreme All Terrain.
This is a directional tire (which is my only complaint).
Besides being an E rated tire, when i read Procomp gave this tire a 45k tread life warranty, I was sold.

I bought 33x13.5x18\'s.
These babies are wide. The tread blocks are big and have some siping. Snow traction when new was respectable for a 13.5\" wide tire on a diesel 1ton truck. Rain driving was excellent, as well as mud. Road noise became more apparent after lack of rotation.

Overall Im very happy with the tires. The tread is holding up very well. I currently have 39k miles on the tires.

I have been towing some very heavy loads this past year, so I suprised at the depth of tread still remaining.

Great looking tire!
Expensive tire! (i paid 330.00 each)
Good traction in all conditions!
Great tread life!
I would not consider for anything other than work truck or tow vehicle.
I wont purchase another set only because I have found that its very difficult to maintain even wear with a directional tire.

I give this product a 7
