Empty housing just needs lower control arm mounts and a set of ball joints

Ran into some issues while removing skid plate from the chassis to get to the drive shaft.

-One of the anchors for the skid plate bolts was shot so I had to cut it off.

-One of the four mount bolts for the transmission twisted off

-The transmission oil pan though some rust has a leak.

This Jeep is becoming the bane of my existence.

Anyone ever put in a skid plate mount?

Found a transmission oil pan at DOAN Dodge for $15! Way better than I expected

good to hear.  didn\'t know you cut a TTB.  How much lift have you done and how much travel do you have to care about camber? or did you not do TTB drops to gain clearance?  either way, cool stuff.

EDIT: added quote for those who don\'t remember p2

Quick question to anyone reading this. I removed my front driveshaft and started cleaning it up. I removed a bit of material from the shaft and I am now worried that it will be out of balance. How important is the driveshaft balance and how do I go about balancing it?

what did you remove from it??

driveshaft balance is pretty critical to seal life on a daily driver.  unless you\'re taking a grinder to or knocked a weight off of it, you won\'t get it out of whack.

Well I found a little flat piece of metal on my skid plate after removing it. The piece was flat on one side rounded on the other and about the size of a quarter. One similar still on the shaft. So I am guessing its outta whack.

yeah that sounds like a weight.  if you notice any vibration it\'ll need to be rebalanced.  Vic in Canadaigua is probably the best place to go for that.  There\'s also FleetPride near the airport on Scottsville Rd.
