How big with BB

OK I\'m tired of people tripping over my cherokee so I\'m going to put a little Budget boost on it.
Which begs the question.
Whats the max tire size can fit on a 99 xj with 1.5 to 2\" lift, I think I saw some web sites that said 31 but I\'m looking for other opinions.

you can fit 31\"s ,but expect a little rub here and there without trimming while wheeling or if you have a lot of weight in the back and hit a pothole.

i have 3\" and 31s and i only rub when turned all the way or when flexed.

how much are you looking to spend?

CHEAP since I\'m only going planning to have the xj for another 2 years.  I\'m also trying to save the cash for my super slow TJ-5 (not a typo) project. So I\'m looking at the 99$ daystar coil spacer and shackle from 4wd.com I got a gift card for Christmas. Then I\'m thinking of looking for some 30.5x9.5 r15 retreds or used tires from tiretrax.

i thought about it, but planning to go long arm at some point so ill deal with it now. its not bad unless turned ALL the way.

well for $140 more you could get a rough country 3\" which consists of front springs,rear add a leafs and replacement shocks, that be the way i\'d go for a budget.unfortunately 4wd doesnt carry them.

i have the rough country kit in my XJ. this is the second jeep ive had a rough country kit in. i like them.
