As has been our tradition, this was a huge event with a ton of rigs (13ish? maybe 15?), high attendance (had to be near 30), and an astonishing amount of wonderful food.
We had cold nights, decent days, and _amazing_ traction.
Some arrived at Rausch on Thursday, I didn't get there until Friday.
Saturday my little XJ and I were part of the mid group and ran mostly blacks all day.
Sunday was the memorable day with much of the buggy crew heading to Mammoth trail at AOAA, and much of the blue-black crew spending the day supporting.
Mommoth is made up of all the rocks bigger than a washing machine that were found while tearing down a tailings mountain to fill in a deep cut and make it into a valley again. It is well over a mile made of rocks that get up to the size of a car.
Harrison was the only rig to complete the trail, with some relatively mild breakage and time limitations stopping the rest of the 5 rigs that started the trail.
More details are deserved here but I did want to at least start a trip report summary here and say what a wonderful event of great people this was, and I hope we continue the tradition!
