AOAA is partnering with Shamokin to allow park users to drive their rigs into town on a designated route from 1100-1700 on 11/3

The AOAA will be “Taking it to the Streets” on Saturday November 3rd from 11AM till 5PM! Anyone riding at the AOAA will be permitted to ride their ATV, Dirt Bike, SxS or other OHV into downtown Shamokin to access the local businesses. Yes you read that right…you will be permitted to ride the streets on a predetermined route from the AOAA trails to downtown Shamokin and back. You will be able to park downtown and enjoy the local restaurants and stores. This will be a one day trial event to see if we can move forward next year to allow our riders into the City of Shamokin & Coal Township on a regular basis to support the local businesses.
All AOAA rules & regulations will apply as well as local motor vehicle laws for this event. Please go to www.aoaatrails.com and read them. We will be looking for volunteers to help put on this event. The City of Shamokin has asked us to help support local business so that is what we plan to do with your help! Please come and support “Taking it to the Streets 2018”! Thanks Dave

sounds like a lot of fun.

any one want to switch over to starting at AOAA and camping over friday to wheel saturday- then head to rausch sat night, camp and wheel rausch sunday?  whould enable us to partake in town driving!

i also would not be opposed to just wheeling AOAA (season pass) for both days.

Points of consideration...

- Extra camping fee for AOAA $20-$37 per night vs no camping fee if RC then AOAA, although the cheaper AOAA day pass cost largely offsets the extra $$.
- Shamokin road trip not likely alluring to plated rigs and only a 6 hour window of opportunity mostly during wheeling hours.
- Shamokin trip may be a greater success if there aren't too many noisy rigs wandering the streets?
- At this point, there are plenty of guys/rigs to make for a guiltless decision either way.

I don’t support $50/day at Rausch. It makes me grouchy.

Funny: same reason I liked Rausch more than paragon when Rausch opened. I think it was about $10/day cheaper.

I'm probably the odd man out, but I'd rather do Rausch first. I'm not camping so I wouldn't be able to do the pot luck at AOAA (since I'd have to be out by a certain time?), also I already have the hotel booked. Plus I'd rather be 30 mins closer to home on the day I'm gonna be heading home.

So are we doing AOAA or Rausch first? Im down for wheeling 11/3, ive got stuff going on 11/4. Just wondering so i can figure out if im camping at aoaa, or getting a hotel at rausch.

No more tow rig problems either. Cant have emissions problems if you no longer have emissions ;D
