Hey guys, names Mike, machinist from Bennington Ny,

Been on here a long time, as a lurker, looking for new people to wheel with.

Had a 96 grand cherokee, 4.0, hp30 swap, dana 44a out back, 33" bfg mts, 3" IRO lift

Wheeled that for a while ( this was 8 years ago), blew the trans up, decided on something different.

New rig:

1985ish 😂 k5 blazer, 454tbi swap, sm465, np205, 60 front , 35 spline chromoly inner/outers, torq locker, drive flanges, psc double ended full hydro. 14 bolt rear, torq locker.

52" springs up front, 63" springs out back, custom half cab, soon to be caged, 40" LTBs

Built this rig to wheel, and now nobody i know wheels, looking to meet some new people, make some new freinds, and check out AOAA and Rausch.

Looks good!
Steering box braced? Been a while since I helped a K5 on 35+ tires off the trail with a broken left front frame - hope you can avoid that!
EDIT: I see you said full hydro. Pic with the box musta been before the frame broke?  8)

When i first started building this, I had crossover steering on a dana 44, when I installed the crossover steering, I even plated the frame with ORDs frame plating kit. Last year i was wheeling at a Flexrock event in Attica, and slid down a log sideways, and sheared 3 bolts off the box, so i went full hydro and never looked back.
