Definitely a soggy trip. Saturday, we hit the trails in the morning but impending rain drove us back to camp and shelter near lunchtime. After lunch and between the downpours, a few of us went to the comp course and played until we got cold and then returned for snacks and warmth. Did the same thing around dinner time before calling it for the night. sMike and Gif packed up and left for home around 7pm.
It cleared during the late evening and night. Actually got to see a glimpse or two of the moon. Harry/Hannah, Tom, and I sat inside Harry's trailer and gabbed through the evening. Both Dennis's and the CT crew returned to their respective hotels. We all kept checking the weather but it never improved.
Tom was first up on Sunday and confirmed the bad news on the radar. I woke to the sound of raindrops on the roof. We collectively pulled the proverbial plug and packed up for home.
All in all, it was a decent shakedown run for the Willys and recent changes/improvements. It was good to get out on the trail after a long winter and I'm eagerly anticipating a great season.
