Soon-to-be New Transplant From TN

(1/2) > >>

Battlewagon:
Hello everyone,

Battlewagon's the name but most people call me Logan in real life. I'm a wheeler from down south but I'll be moving to Rochester in early June to start a new life. I'm really hoping to get in some wheeling with you guys!

Little about me - I'm a board member for a Knoxville, Tennessee-based club called Titan Offroad. We put together monthly club rides, meet-and-greets, 50/50 raffles, a yearly crawl event with sponsors, tech days, and generally talk 4x4s. We're family friendly too! I'll be sad to leave them but I'm looking forward to the move.

My rig is a 99 Cherokee with a 4.0, factory AX-15, NP231, HP Dana 30 and 8.25 rear. Currently, I'm running 31x10.5x15 Mickey Thompson MTZs and about 3.5" of lift in the front and 4" in the rear on short arms. Before I move, I'll be swapping in 4.11s to run 33x10.5s, leveling the front with 4" JeepSpeed springs, and improving handling with Bilstein 5100s. The truck has a lot of parts on it and has a lot of trail mileage, but it's still running strong.

Looking forward to meeting with you. I won't be able to make the May meet, but the June one I can do for sure. I'd also like to wheel with some people as I don't want my truck to become a mall crawler!

MrMindless:
Welcome to the site, look forward to meeting you!

Wingman:
Welcome!

Battlewagon:
Thanks fellas! Looking forward to the move, but not the rust prevention! Any tips on that would be helpful haha!

MrMindless:
The only fully effective method is not to drive in the salt.

If you do drive it in the winter, get an unlimited car wash membership and wash it weekly at the very least during the winter.
A member here had his then-new daily driver Titan undercoated at Ziebart and has kept up with it. I'm not sure what sort of results he's seeing now that it's 5ish years old.
