Again I cant thank you enough for your input...I you were me and had a cj5 with the things I have done to this point, nothing to major accept the motor swap and suspension the rest is really cosmetic would it be stupid to just change my gear ratio and get on the road?????  Attact the rest as cash allows

Theres a guy locally that might have big danas at a good price...D60z.....But Id run the D44..Your jeeep is pretty light and if your tire width is still 12.5-15 I think it would last awhile...

Pretty much the axle shafts are the same thickness from the 8.8/9\"/d44/d60/d70......Unless you get the Big D70

Upgrading on a 5 your best bets are Wagoneer axles or fullwidth. Scout axles are fine But the price tags are annoying.

What year is the CJ?

Depending on your plans I have a lot of jeep axles and other chunks kicking around.
