it was fine!

Ryan blew the motor in atom

571 lost the track bar early but put down about 25miles of the race at a good pace until a rear link mount tore from the chassis side.  driveshaft separated, and cracked a shock eye.  took us about 2 hours to patch it up with straps and what we had, and we finished the lap!  looking at our first laps and time needed to fix, we called it after 3 / 5 laps with only an hour to go time wise.

we also lost a valve stem early lap 3 before we broke.  the bead separated so we threw another in and used the OBA to fill it up.

571 never had any track bars

broke an arm off the SWAYBAR late in lap 2/early in lap 3.

7 of 24 entrants finished.  We were one of 10 teams to make 3 laps. Only the finishers made 4 laps.

It was a hard race.  Terrain wasn\'t stupid but there were tough technical spots and it was consistantly difficult.  We\'d have improved on our 45 minute lap times if we\'d been able to stay in it in the high speed but we just couldn\'t push hard, motor was running at 240? through most of the high speed.

Blew up the Suzuki, taking the head off tonight to see the damage.

Good fun, and good people.

Everyone that drove by while we were plugging a tire stopped for a thumbs up to make sure we were ok. Wheelers are the best people around.

opps ya no track bar, my 20$ swaybar finally broke :) and it was 5 laps not 4.

we were running a good pace- i am pleased at 571s progress.  we have some changes coming soon that should fix a lot of our problems....

if this link works, we are the second buggy trying to keep up with Lucas after letting him by in the woods, followed by another buggy, and then Miller bringing up the rear.
