I imported the .dxf\'s created in Lamina into TorchmateCAD to assign tool paths. Then I imported that into Torchmate3, our diver software for our 2x2. Then it was ready to cut!

Below are some screen shots of the software and some final cuts.

Then I TIG welded it all together with my little 110V Miller.

I plan to make a couple for chirstmas gifts this year. I\'m also going to start a thread on Pirate, I think some people would like to see some 3D possibilities with the 2x2.

Here\'s a rendering in 3D Studio Max:

the material used for the front and sides is 20 ga. = 1/16\"

i helped manipulate it into place while she tacked it for final welding. It was definitely a two person job when welding it with the TIG. just because it it was awkward, not difficult though.

really neat.  I\'d seen the renderings but sans  displayed bottle.   that\'s a really inventive touch!

Thanks! I can\'t wait to see what we come up with for 3D parts.

Rhino will make complex cuts/angles easy, like the new double shear pitman arm from GenRight:

Now if only my TIG welding looked that good!
