Fixing a Soft Top
« on: October 20, 2010, 07:43:15 AM »
So I have a very small crack in the back window of my soft top. I know with the cold weather coming it will only get worse if I don’t try and fix it some how. What is the best way to fix these cracks with out using tape? I was thinking clear nail polish - or some type of epoxy. Any idea/advice would be great. Thanks.

drill some holes and stitch it together with zipties.
That or Clear packing tape.
Or look for a cheap replacement on ebay / craigs list

I\'ve got some heli-tape (aka rotor or leading edge tape) you can try.  It\'s clear about .050mm iirc and the acrylic adhesive is incredible.  I\'ve got plenty in 1\" 2\" and 4\".

I\'ve used it for quick field fixes on race sails, some we never went back and sewed because it held so well.

\"stop-drill\" to prevent further cracking, then clear weather seal tape.
