Yeah, i have no idea where to mount those in a tj.  If the wife had the day off we would have come up. I figured the views would be spectacular. The advantage of the off road clubs is the people who have lived here all their lives do know where the spots are.  I do have good news though, my wifes schedule at work has changed so now she now gets 3 days off, sat, sun and mon, rotates as to first week in the month, second week in the month third week in the month and so on. That will make it a little easier to schedule longer trips. Also planning on getting a trailer for the tj and will tow it with the van conversion. That will make the longer trips a little more tolerable. Also it will allow me to pack the camping gear, anything more than a day trip unless we intend to eat out and sleep in motels is a challenge, wrangler owners with kids can relate i\'m sure.

My daughter said \"sure\" so count Hawker plus 1.  She will bring her Nintendo DS in case the leaves aren\'t as spectacular as a tiny game machine screen.  (Translation:  This journey will be great for the driver!)

Don\'t forget to bring a lunch!

We are stopping at a park to eat. There will be pic-nic tables and a porta-pot.

Any pointers?  I\'ve been screwing around with this option that I didn\'t even know existed for an hour or so and can only get it to save the destination, 47 Vine St, Naples, NY 14512.

Do I just save them all individually and then create the route in my unit?

It\'s a Garmin 1450t if it makes a difference.

I\'m an ignorant techno junkie :-D

A special thanks to Scott Hawker for Saving the day!
Chip\'s XJ lost the alternator within the first few miles of seasonal roads.
So scott offered up his passenger seat and back seat for Chip and JAKE (chips famous dog)

Wingman And his wife , as well as GSlarue and his wife rode along for the first half of the ride. They departed after lunch @ Grimes Glen.

The route covered aprox. 110 miles and 3 counties.
We are very glad to hear all the positive feedback about the ride. And most of all we are glad everyone enjoyed themselves.
Lets do it again next fall!

Thanks so much to everyone that came out, what a great day with almost perfect weather.

Looks awesome, wish I could have made it.  Jess and I were out of town in the morning but we decided to go get a pumpkin, ended up in canidaguia, then driving around the lake, then at lloyds in pen yann lol.  Drove around the other side of the lake home and we get on this dirt road and ran into chips jeep, small world :-o

LLOYDS is the best.
I graduated high school from Penn Yan Academy. Paul Newman used to come up to LLOYDS when his team was racing in Watkins Glen. He was a regular in LLOYDS back in the early 90\'s.

Funny that you found Chip\'s Jeep.
Small world indeed!
Thats as far from Canandaigua that he made it.

I just got a call from Chip...
His dog Jake just passed away this morning.
He was an amazing dog that lived a life that most humans would be. Jealous of.
Again, a special thanks to scott hawker for inviting Chip and Jake in his JEEP so they could continue on the adventure.
Jake got to spend his last day doing what he loved the most...
Exploring the world in a Jeep with his best friend.
