Drive shaft vibes

Ok so ever since a put in a different tranfer case with a havk and tap sye and a cv rear shaft i have have there terible vibration that ive been fighting with for some time and cant figure out. It comes at 40 till 50 but its not to bad at around 55 there nothing its nice and smoth then anything above 60 it gets really bad cycleing vibraton thats really slow (a few vibes between vibes and no vibes. I have adjusted my pinion angle a ton of times and its the best so far. Its got an 8.8 in the rear witch does have a slightly offset pinion to the passenger side but most dont have a problem that i have found. Wen i first did the swap i drove ti without the rear shaft it and i beleive i had no vibes but going to drop out the shaft again today to make sure the vibe goes away. So if the vibe goes away i am thinking the only things it could be are.
-Rear shaft out of balance
-Rear pinion still not adjusted just right
Any other thoughts?

I was thinking the out of balance answer. Are the u-joints new? any slop?

Me too, rear shaft is new and front joints on DS are newer.If its still there after rear shaft is removed witch i dont think it will be im going to put the rear back in and remove the front.

with a CV at the case, you need to have within a degree or two of 0 angle at the pinion, but since you\'ve been adjusting I\'m sure you know that.

How much side angle are you looking at from the offset pinion?

The only 8.8 swap I\'m particularly familiar with used a standard driveshaft, not CV, so the side angles cancel each other.  if it\'s offset too far and you\'re getting 3+° to the left or right off the axle you might be stuck with some vibrations.

Finaly narrowed it down with removeing shafts and driveing it. Ended up being the centering ball on front driveshaft being seized.

ah, that\'s a good one to catch.  I ripped the front output out of a 231HD with a seized centering ball....
