HWY work on 81 south

Heads Up

For all heading South on I-81 there was alot of mileage from Scranton South with one lane as recent as last Weekend.

Anybody know any more about this?

most of us take the 390/15/180/80/54/81 route. We hop on 81 about 10 miles north of Rausch.

We drove thru there yesterday heading north. Southbound traffic was backed up for a few miles. If you can avoid it, it would be a good idea.

Northbound on 15 going up the hill to the Turkey Ranch area is down to one lane again, it was slow going yesterday. But not stopped.

81 southbound on a Thurs night shouldn\'t be as bad as if it were a Friday night

Most frequently, the area between 160 and 138 is congested and if there is any amount of traffic, it slows quickly.  I\'ve waited before in that traffic 1.5 hours but this past Friday around 8pm, it was flowing pretty well.

It was near standstill for 3-4 miles early afternoon on a Sunday, I\'d avoid that area if possible - it looked like the construction was the only issue to cause the slowdown....
