Smaller Lift Question
« on: August 14, 2009, 01:29:29 PM »
I currently have a stock 2002 Wrangler Saraha with 3.07 gears and 30x9.50 MT tires. Had fun out wheeling and now want a small lift but must keep its street manners as it is my DD and occasional weekend wheeler. I reciently found a stock suspension including springs and shocks from a 03 or 04 Rubicon and looking at a 2\" BB spacer kit aswell. My question is what would be best for me as far as what to install? I was thinking about puting on the Rubicon springs and shocks as well as the 2\" BB poly spacers but would this cause drive line vibrations or death wobble? What are your thoughts and recomendations and in the end I would like to run 31\" or 32\" tires and get a sway bar disconnect for off road but other than that keep it stock and streetable. Thanks for all your help and thoughts and help in advance.

I run 2.5\" Skyjacker springs, shocks, discos, and 33s.  No other mods but I do get slight vibration around 40 mph.  I live with it.  Your combo would put you around 3\" total.  Won\'t know until you try it.  Worst that could happen is you install a t-case drop spacers to \"correct\" the vibration.

and on a related note, lift does not cause death wobble.  bad caster and/or loose steering and suspension parts do.

i have a set of stock springs from my rubicon that would lift you enough to run some larger tires. they were about 3 months old when they were taken off the jeep so theyre like new if intrested.
