July 19th Whispering Pines run
« on: June 22, 2009, 11:25:27 AM »
I see on the calendar there is a ride at Whispering Pines on the 19th of July.  Is this a members only ride or are newbies welcome.  Just curious as we weren\'t able to make the May 101 run.

As I\'ve mentioned before I have a stock Cherokee, that we\'ve been getting ready per the \"Trail Requirements\" list.   Still stock but with the necessary tow points now etc.

Looking to get our feet wet so thought this might be the time.  If not would it be better to setup a different run?

Thanks...

I was just thinking about this today.. I will already be in the Roch that weekend and would most likely work my way out for the 19th. My question to add to this is W.P is having a \"Summer Fun-In-the-Sun\" day on the 18th.. Any thought of folding the 19th into this date or will the 19th remain as a separate run?

i don\'t think it matters if we go during the event or the next day.  i\'ve never been there for one of their events.  that weekend might be a rauch creek weekend, so i don\'t know if i\'ll be there or not.

If you are interested in camping there is a place in Lyons called Norwins Farm and Campgrounds

Just to get back to my original question ... Would this ride be ok for newbies to show up, or better to try and put another run together of any newbies and some experienced riders that would want to help out?

I had all intentions of being at the meeting tomorrow but just found out I have to work tomorrow night.  My part-time job is Tues nights (sometimes) and Sundays.  So I will also need to schedule the 19th off soon, if that\'s a go.  Thanks...

I thinks a member should answer whitebombs\' question.

I would be interested to know if all are welcome ,too.  If the 18th is open also i\'ll go both days!

And i would be more than willing to help anyone out.  i\'ll prob be bringging a newb or two with me anyways...

\"Am I missing something?\"

You are not good sir. I wheeled W.P in April. A great time. Just have to meet the Trail Requirements..
