ohh I will deff be looking into that...
A cage is always something I wanted to design and build.. but ill be honest.. my welding skills (and current equipment) is not what it use to be..

I can only get 110 in my garage, so I sold my old 220 welder..
Im welderless and as soon as I get the jeep on the 35\"s it wont fit in the garage anyway :)

Finally got around to finishing up my OBA setup..
funny what a little nice weather will make you accomplish..

Some pics bellow.. taken with my Blackberry, so not the best quality... but good enough..
Have cab controls now, independent from the ignition, so I can fill the tank on the go..
Tnaks mounted right in back... since I done normally have a backseat its not a problem, and I still have room for two plastic totes or a cooler etc..

I haven’t seen anybody ever use the glove box before as a mounting point for gages and switches, I think it’s rather ingenious if I don’t say so myself..

Looks good!

What size is the compressor?
I\'m interested to hear your feedback on it as you use it more. I\'m debating on installing a york under the hood or going electric.

its a viair constant duty.. runs VERY WELL..

I had an engine driven compressor (still have the brakets for a 258) hated it..

Its nice to be able to run tools, air up, or whatever without the engine being on..

I can think of a hundred reasons where I might need air and wouldnt or couldnt have the engine running..

I decided it was time for a bit more protection in the YJ..
It’s still not a fully welded cage, won’t pass any regulation laws etc..
But in combination with the stock bar and the little extra gusseting I gave it, I’m sure this will be fine for anything I will encounter..
With color match paint, some NOS Almond roll bar pads I have been saving it looks stock, well kinda.

Do you have hard doors? Can you still roll the window down?

The guy I bought my CJ from tied in the cage then said \'whoops\' when he went to roll the windows down. He fixed the problem by buying YJ doors with power windows and rigged up an electrical plug for the doors.

threw the aussie in my rear end friday afternoon...

Took all of 45 min..

Didnt drive it all weekend, but took it out last night and this morning..
its like learning to drive all over again..
traction is %100 better than stock, cornering is interesting.

ya, you will learn to roll into corners and not mash the gas off the line into a turn :)

Started to tear down my front suspention for all my upgraded fixes...
Short list includes..

U bolt flip
JKS slickrock spring hangers
OTK steering (1.25\" tube Mood Ends)

Also just tore out my fan to make way for the new one.. no biggie there..

I also noticed in some pictures that my front brake lines might be a tad to short..  Is there anyplace to get custom SS brake lines made?
