Project: Slow TJ-5
« on: March 14, 2009, 07:29:14 AM »
I was playing my my autocad this week and I came up with this drawing. I still need to fix the location of the door opening and the curves attached to it. but here it is. I\'ll post the .dwg file once i set the opening curve.

I\'m working on importing a tj frame drawing but I\'m having issues. If anyone has a cad drawing of a tj frame let me know.

Thanks

Does the red indicate extended sheet metal?

no, the red lines are just dimension references to show where the measurements were taken.

I\'m not planning on cutting the tub, I\'m just going to mount it on the TJ frame back a bit.

I have thought about the same type of project but using a pre-\'50 Willys (not that I\'ll ever get around to it)...  Keep us posted.

The only frame models I have are for Locost\'s.(Search it there awsome) I tried to model a YJ frame but it wasnt coming out right.

Cool, I\'m running the lastest LT version. I\'d love to give it a try. I\'ve got the FSM PDF but that would be a huge pain to draw it up. If I can get a good model I\'ll feel more confident about the new body mounts on the TJ frame.

Thanks
