WHAT: Windrock TN and Fall Crawl at Big Dogs VA
WHEN: October 7 - 15
WHERE: Tennessee and Virginia
MEETING TIME: Saturday Oct 7 (any time)
MEETING PLACE: Windrock campsite
CB CHANNEL: FRS / GMRS
RESTRICTIONS: No restrictions
COST: Windrock ($115 for Annual Trail pass), Big Dogs ($85 event fee)
CAMPING: Windrock Campsite ($120 for week), Cove Campsite ($25 per person per day)

This is a rough plan.  Totally open for modifications / suggestions.   
- Saturday Oct 7: Travel day  Windrock (~12 hours)
- Sunday Oct 8 - Wednesday Oct 11: Wheel at Windrock
- Thursday Oct 12: Travel Day to Big Dogs (~6 hours)
- Friday Oct 13 - Sunday Oct 15: Wheel at Big Dogs
- Sunday Oct 15: Travel home (~6.5 hours)

im interested.  thats a 1600 mile trip for me.  if i commit, i would have a trailer spot available for fuel money. If anyone is interested let me know or post here.

I managed to get Oct 5-8 off. We would be interested in Windrock, or perhaps setting up our own wheeling with the Cove Campground people that weekend. Thoughts?

I am definitely in for Big Dogs.  I went last year, it was a fun event, great hosts, campground very nice, trails were plenty advanced (for me).  Already registered for Fall Crawl this year (Oct 13-15).  Fee is $85, at some point the fee increases to $95.  I am still looking to extend the trip a few days, I don't care where.   

It seems Windrock may be too far for people.   AOAA is 3 hours drive from Big Dogs, Rausch 2.5 hours.   Maybe 2 days (Oct 10-11) at Rausch or AOAA then hit Big Dogs? 

Where is Hallowheelin this year?

Hallowheelin is at AOAA this year. October 27-29.

We are planning on going to Windrock October 6-7, with travel days on 5 and 8. There is a military vehicle rally there at the same time. It should be a hoot!
